1999

Humble beginnings

The Firm was founded on 1 December 1999 by Puan Sazira binti Abdul Aziz in Muar, Johor, under the name Sazira & Co. Beginning with a small team of four, the Firm focused on providing reliable and accessible legal services to its community.

Despite its modest beginnings, the Firm quickly earned the trust of institutional clients and was appointed as a panel solicitor for several financial institutions and national organisations. These early years laid the foundation for the Firm’s values of diligence, accessibility, and professional integrity.

2001

Growth and recognition

As the Firm’s practice expanded, it evolved into Mahyuddin, Faisal & Sazira, strengthening its presence in Johor while steadily broadening its client base.

In 2006, the Firm marked a significant milestone with its expansion into Kuala Lumpur under the name Azman Sazira & Partners. The expansion saw a rapid increase in manpower and capability, as well as appointments to act for major corporate entities, government-linked institutions, and public bodies.

During this period, the Firm also deepened its commitment to social responsibility through initiatives such as the Legal Aid Clinic in Muar, providing legal assistance to single mothers and low-income communities. Strategic collaborations with NGOs and government agencies helped extend legal awareness beyond urban centres.

2014

New move

In 2014, the Firm relocated its office to the Diplomatic Enclave in Putrajaya, a move that marked a strategic shift in its practice and positioning.

The relocation opened new opportunities to serve institutional clients, including government agencies, banks, and corporate entities. The Firm rebranded as Anas Sazira & Partners, reinforcing its capabilities across key practice areas such as corporate and commercial law, conveyancing, banking and finance, Shariah matters, family law, and probate.

While expanding its institutional footprint, the Firm remained committed to accessibility, professional excellence, and community engagement.

2023

Two decades of legal service

After more than two decades of practice, the Firm entered into a strategic collaboration with The Chambers of Shamsul Qamar (CSQ Law), a boutique corporate law firm with a strong track record in corporate legal practice.

This collaboration enhanced the Firm’s capabilities in complex corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and debt restructuring, fundraising exercises, and financing transactions. The partnership reflected a deliberate move towards deeper specialisation and higher-value advisory work.
