AMASS Law Firm announces the admission of Madzlan bin Mohamad Hussain as Senior Partner and Shahirah binti Md Shuhaimi as Junior Partner, as part of the firm’s ongoing development and leadership strengthening.

The admission of Mr Madzlan as Senior Partner, with effect from 1 January 2026, marks a significant addition to the firm’s senior leadership. Beyond Malaysia, he is well recognised as an Islamic finance expert, particularly in Central Asia. Among the projects he has been involved in are the development of Islamic banking laws in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, the Islamic Finance Master Plan for Kazakhstan, and the establishment of a Halal Industry Park in Kyrgyzstan.

He brings with him extensive experience in Islamic finance, regulatory, and Shariah-related matters, having previously held senior roles in private legal practice as well as regulatory institutions. His inclusion is expected to further strengthen the firm’s capabilities in handling complex advisory matters involving Shariah, Islamic finance, and governance.

AMASS Law Firm also welcomes Ms Shahirah as Junior Partner. Her admission reflects the firm’s commitment to developing and retaining talent within its corporate and commercial practice. Ms Shahirah has experience in corporate advisory matters and has been involved in assisting clients on a range of commercial and transactional issues. Her progression within the firm underscores AMASS’s focus on continuity, mentorship, and sustainable practice growth.

AMASS Law Firm, previously known as AnsarLegal, is a panel firm appointed to act for Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA) in housing loan financing matters involving government servants.

The firm’s scope of work includes acting for LPPSA in the preparation and handling of financing documentation, as well as attending to post-disbursement matters such as Perfection of Charge and other related documentation processes, in accordance with LPPSA procedures and applicable legal requirements.
